What To Do When the Driver Doesn't Open?

When the driver doesn't open, it means the driver got corrupted due to improper installation or uninstallation, having multiple Huion tablet drivers installed, or operating system updates. Follow the steps below to fix this issue:

  1. Windows:
    1. Disconnect your tablet from your computer, and close all your drawing or writing programs. 
    2. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > on the "Uninstall or change a program" page, and uninstall the Huion Tablet driver and any related programs. For instructions, refer to this article: How to Uninstall Version 15 Driver (Windows)
    3. Open a folder and go to your C: drive. Click "Program Files" and delete all Huion-related files and folders. Do the same in the "Program Files (x86)" folder.
    4. Restart your computer.
    5. Follow the steps in this article to reinstall the driver properly: How to Install Huion Drivers on Windows. Ensure you don't have more than one tablet driver installed on your computer. 
    6. Open the driver, and when you see the "Device disconnected" message, reconnect your tablet to your computer.
  2. Mac:
    1. Disconnect your tablet from your computer, and close all your drawing or writing programs.
    2. Uninstall the tablet driver from your computer by following the steps in this article: How to Uninstall Version 15 Driver (MacOS).
    3. Go to Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitoring, search "Huion" or "tablet", and delete or quit all files and folders.
    4. Restart your computer.
    5. Follow the steps in this article to reinstall the driver properly: How to Install Huion Driver on MacOS. Ensure you only have one tablet driver installed on your computer.
    6. Open the driver, and when you see the "Device disconnected" message, reconnect your tablet to your computer.
