Why Won't My Shortcuts Work?

There are several reasons why your shortcuts won't work. Here are some steps to help you:

First, check whether you have properly installed the driver by following the steps from these links:

Second, make sure you have properly and securely connected your tablet to your computer and your ports are working well. If you are using a tablet display, make sure the USB-A (commonly referred to as USB) cable is connected, except when you are using the USB-C to USB-C cable. If your cables have a black USB-A and a red USB-A, make sure the black USB-A is connected to your computer. You have the option to connect the red USB-A to your computer or to a power adapter.

Third, with the tablet driver properly installed and the cables securely connected, you can then customize your shortcuts using the driver by following these steps: How to Customize Press Keys and Digital Pen Button Functions for Specific Software.

Lastly, after setting everything up and if the shortcuts won't work still, check whether the shortcuts you've set corresponds to the keyboard layout you are using. Different countries and regions use different keyboard layouts:

QWERTY keyboard layout - this is the most widely used layout and is the default keyboard layout. The default functions of all shortcut keys used in our drivers are Photoshop functions.
As you may have read when customizing the shortcut keys above, other software may have different shortcut functions so it is best to refer to the software developer's keyboard shortcut guide.
For example, zooming in and out in Photoshop is "Ctrl+-" and "Ctrl+=" respectively. However, in Krita, it is just "-" and "=".
QWERTZ keyboard layout - this layout is mostly used in Central Europe and is also called the Swiss keyboard. The main difference from the QWERTY keyboard is between the position of the Z and Y keys, as well as some of the non-letter keys.
AZERTY keyboard layout - is a specific layout for characters of the Latin alphabet and is commonly used in France and Belgium. The A, Z, Q, W, and M are in different positions from the QWERTY layout and the non-alphabetic keys are in different positions as well.
Japanese and Korean keyboard layout - as the keyboard layout name suggests, these are specifically for Japanese and Korean language users. Although the English alphabet keys are the same as those in the QWERTY layout, some of the non-alphabetic keys are different.
