Pen not cover all tablet screen on landscape position

Pen not cover all tablet screen on landscape position huion h320m version on portal work very good
  • Hi, Mhmdghzy01000. when connecting the H320M to a phone, the tablet's work area is only limited to the left side, as seen in the image below:

This is normal due to the limitations in the Android operating system. You may refer further to this article: How to Manually Set Your Tablet to Phone Mode.

  • When I bought this tablet (H320M) I understood that, for a phone, only the left side would be usable. Unfortunately, the mapping of the tablet-usable-zone to the phone screen is way off proportion - it uses the full HEIGHT of the tablet but only a little over an inch of the WIDTH, which causes a very distorted aspect ratio of what I draw - this means, for height I get a 1:1 mapping, but for width I get around 1:2 mapping. Is there a way to correct this? I definitely cannot use the tablet like this in my phone :(
P.S. I already tried the Phone Mode setting mentioned above, with no useful results.

  • Hi, Jose Luis Ochoa Padilla. I understand what you mean. Please email the following to service@huion.com so we can help you with a firmware update:

    1. Serial # of your H320M (found on the back of the unit, which starts with S/N)
    2. Your phone model
    3. Your phone system version (example: Android version 16)
    4. App name and its version
    5. Link to a short video capturing the working area of your tablet on your phone. Please use another phone so we can see your tablet and your phone that has the issue. Also, ensure that the link is unrestricted, so we can access it easily.

  • Thank you for your support!

After sending the information, Customer Service requested me to update the firmware using the publicly available update tool, but I already had done that. They then provided me with another software tool for updating the tablet's firmware, which effectively FIXED the issue.

Just for reference to anyone reading this support thread, the phone with the issue was a Motorola moto g24 power (also checked in a moto g04s). Also, the firmware version which fixed the issue is T198_240531 (The public updater only goes up to T198_211209). Finally, if you also have the issue, need to update and are provided with the tool, the guide mentions pressing keys 1 and 4 - but this is incorrect, you have to press keys 1 and 6 (Phone Mode key chord).

  • Hi, Jose Luis Ochoa Padilla. Thank you for the update, and I'm glad your issue has been resolved with the new firmware version.

You are correct regarding the keys to press. It should be keys 1 and 6 for H320M. The keys to press during the firmware update would depend on the tablet model, which is the same set of keys in this article: How to Manually Set Your Tablet to Phone Mode

I have informed our technical team to update the instructions to avoid confusion moving forward. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
